Is the styling weatherproof?
Yes — backdrop, plinths, marquee number and balloon garland are all weather-tested. We use weighted bases (15 kg+), ground stakes where lawn allows, and weather-resistant attachments. We recommend morning bump-in and afternoon bump-out for Sydney summer events to avoid sun damage.
What happens if it rains?
If rain is forecast morning-of, we can move the setup undercover (patio, garage, marquee tent — flag on enquiry) or shift the setup time by 30–60 minutes. Most pieces handle light drizzle; sustained rain requires shelter. We make the call together morning-of, no extra charge for the contingency.
Do I need a flat lawn?
Mostly yes for the backdrop and plinths. Slight slope (a few degrees) is fine. Steeper slopes need a patio, deck or driveway alternative. We'll ask about your space at quote and suggest the best placement.
How long does setup take?
Standard setup is 45–60 minutes for our team. We arrive 2–3 hours before your start time. You walk out to a styled backyard with no last-minute stress — baby's in clean clothes, you're not pumping balloons.
Can you handle small Sydney backyards?
Yes — most Sydney 1st birthday backyards are small (Western Sydney average ~6×5m usable). The package works in 4×4m+ usable space. We can scale the balloon garland length down for tighter spaces and use vertical decor (hanging garlands, tall plinths) where horizontal space is limited.
Can I book midweek?
Yes — if your event date is Tue/Wed/Thu, our midweek 10% discount applies automatically. Many parents who work flexibly book midweek for better availability and cheaper styling.
What about pack-down?
We come back same-evening (typically 5–6pm) or next-morning depending on your hire window. Pack-down takes 25–35 minutes and leaves your backyard the way we found it.
